Virtual team building Come On Against Cancer

Our challenge was to work together with the entire Value Square team for one month to exercise as much as possible for charity. Through atlasGO, we supported our chosen charity: Come on Against Cancer (vzw). By playing sports, we raised 1,000 euros. It is important to have common, sporting challenges in these times so that we feel connected and stay active.
Last week, Tycho Verbelen of Kom op tegen Kanker (vzw) stopped by to physically hand over the check. The coronavirus has had an impact on many organizations. The same goes for Kom op tegen Kanker (vzw) who had to cancel many events and therefore can use all external help.
Cancer patients belong to a risk group for the Covid19 virus. All treatments related to chemotherapy cause damage to the cells of the immune system. This worsens patients' resistance and makes them more susceptible to infections.There are so many reasons why exercise is healthy: People who exercise and exercise more are not only physically and mentally fitter, they are also less likely to suffer from depression or diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and certain types of cancer. Some more benefits include improvement in quality of life, better mood and more positive energy, less stress, more resistance and so much more! Reasons enough to exercise.

Whythis challenge?
ESG, Environmental, Social and Governance, a concept that has received increasing attention in the investment world in recent years.
